Hmm...

In 1971 I was twelve and as most twelve year olds do I was discovering that girls were pretty cool. Adult women really were not on my radar. One evening I was watching TV with my parents and we saw an advertisement for "Serta Perfect Sleeper" mattresses. I can still remember Joey Heatherton in a negligee, crawling around on the mattress singing the Serta jingle. My jaw dropped and I said something along the lines of, "WOW!"

My parents both broke up laughing.

"Perfect Sleeper...by Serta."

I remember...

Oh, yes...I remember!

Anneke Van Giersbergen, an amazing Dutch woman who sometimes works with Devin Townsend...I guess she is not as famous as many of the celebrities in this thread, but man, she is easy on the eyes, and holy crow, her voice...drool

EDIT: Ms. Van Giersbergen was also in a band called The Gathering years ago, and has been involved in other projects as well...lest I gave the impression that she "only" works with Devin...

I was smitten by Peggy Flemming as an impressionable eight year old. I will be forever smitten by the Peggy Flemming who was on grainy TV and then on the cover of Life magazine. That Peggy Flemming doesn't exist outside of my memory these days, although she has aged very well. Other celebrities have gotten my attention over the years, of course, but you never forget your first.

I heard "In Your Room" by The Bangles at work the other day, and wow did that bring back some memories! I think Susanna Hoffs in that video was responsible for my first "adult" moment as a young lad. I didn't know what she did to me, but I liked it!
