Hate to say it, Josh, but I can't imagine that Cruise touching that Zon at all. Why'd you sell the Zon? No lines?

Lucy, that's a fatfinger on the headstock, right? Do you notice a big difference when you take it off and put it on?

yeah i really like fatfingers

i had thought they were just horsefeathers, but i got one given to me and tried it out

gives a subtle increase in unplugged volume and just a bit more of everything it already has

a bit thicker and chunkier and a bit more top end bite

i put them on everything now

Actually, they're 2 top of the line axes so it's not so much "better" as "different".

Wow. I knew they were USA Hamers, but didn't realize they were that nice.

if your forte is 60s J (which is my preferred electric tone), there is simply none better.

This is REALLY interesting. My fave is the 70's tone, so not my real pref, but I think there's a fretted one here locally I may have to take another look at, because I think it's NOS and they'd love to get rid of it.

And lines are a "take them or leave them" variable for me. I actually prefer no lines

I wanna be you. I MUCH prefer the unlined look, but just don't play fretless enough to have one... yet... someday tho... *sigh*

I like fretless because it's a challenge. After 15 years off and on, I can play most bass lines in my sleep, and having to intone keeps me sharp (or flat, as the case may be).
