I want to know if anybody can hook me up with a good tattoo artist. I've got an idea for something I really want done when I turn 18, and want to get the artwork made up soon.

The tattoo will be based off the Dream Theater song "Octavarium"

I'm interested in something like this, only I want the octagon thing to be made of stone. I want the star to be growing, so that the Star is breaking through the stones of the Octagon/Octavarium thing. Some crumbling stone might be cool too.

Any critiques/comments/help with the artwork is greatly appreciated! :bassist:

Edit: oh, and none of that gridwork stuff... just clean.

Any artist help at all would be super appreciated!

I've had this idea for like, almost a year and a half. Its only one of two that I have. Ive been really happy with the design for a while now, and ive finally got the balls (and the money) to get it done right.

Yeah - give it time mate - and also, if you're gonna get one done, ALWAYS get it larger than you think - it will (relatively) spread less, and be easier to touch up. Also - black will spread the least.

Love the art here fella's. Some real beauty - just make me wish i had money to add some more myself!

Can't remember if I've posted this or not.

Matrok,

Here's mine, mostly in process! It's been several years in the making. My artist is in Vegas, I live in Florida ;)

The Klingon tat was not fun. I was flipping around like a little BEEYACTH :rollno: He said he was going to sedate me when he finishes it, LOL!!! I have about 10 more hours to go on the reast of the sleave. I'm going to Vegas in August again, should be fun. Looking forward to it being finished.

Very nice! I can only imagine how that must have felt. When I got the band done I was nearly crying when she got to the inside of my arm, glad it doesn't go all the way around. Hindsight what it is, I wish I had not gone with an inexperienced artist, didn't turn out quite how I planned. I'll be in Vegas at the end of June, who's your artist?

Fed, (James) is a long time friend and customer. He's a brother from another mother to me!

He's about a block away from the Stratosphere.

Actually, the worst part is the elbow. 3 sessions and he still has more work to do on it. The elbow is a DEEP pain. It feels like the needles are going an inch into the bone. Under the arm is more of a sting. After a while it feels like it's burning. I can't wait to get it finished. After that, I'M DONE!!
