Got another three hours of color done, one more and the outside will be all set. I also have plans of the fire from the dragon's mouth to transform into a phoenix. We're gonna make this a sleeve, so I'm adding a big pile of skulls that wraps around my whole arm under the dragon.

wow! 6 hours all at once? your a trooper man, i can handle 3, maybe 4 but 6, thats crazy! what did your artist charge you for that? at my shop its a standard rate, 100/hr.

His rate is $125/hour but he gives me a little break because he is really into this type of work and would prefer to do nothing else. I do tip him nicely though so it basically ends up to be $125/hr anyway.

Word to the wise boys and girls: Tip your artist well!

I'm kind of surprised that your artist would even allow you to do 6 hours at once. Mine does everything in 2-2 1/2 hour segments. That allows your body to heal the fastest and helps minimize touch-ups.

We had 2 smoke breaks and a 1/2 hour lunch during that time so it wasn't too gruelling.

He worked on my entire arm as I had areas to fill in... alot of black. We used four entire cups of black. If you look back at my previous posts you can see the blank areas that we filled in.

The most work was probably on the shoulder (the tree and swirly sky). Unfortunatley, that was what we did last so I was getting a little restless. We have one more session in a few weeks to color in the Cherry Blossoms in the tree and do whatever touch-up that needs to be done. :hyper:
