Nice Work ! Could you explain the significance of that style of star ?, I have seen alot of young people with them recently and I didint know if it represented something. Thanks.

Its a nautical star, is used as a punk/psychobilly/rockabilly/hardcore etc logo, also has a navel type people, sailors! (nautical, obviously, often used as compass pointers on maps), + they just look cooler that normal stars, especially that one, i really like the flames in the background of the colour

Thanks! As Mohawk said, it's a nautical star - and it's most often associated with punk/hardcore etc. these days. I've been fascinated by tattoos for as long as I can remember, particularly the classics (Sailor Jerry, etc.).

To be honest, my star doesn't have much of a personal meaning, it's just my way of paying tribute to classic tattoo flash - In a properly coordinating way, of course.

And Mohawk, thanks for the compliment! It was originally just solid black and red, but it had become so faded you could hardly see the red. I decided it was time for an overhaul, and I was really happy with the flames the artist had done for me, so I ran with it!

Nice shading.... Are you leaving room for later or is it getting completely filled in around the fish too?

From what I understand, it's getting completely filled. There's still a bunch of color going into the fish, and coral going in the background, with water all around the left over areas. But we're playing it by ear. Who knows, things may change.

Here's my Sci-fi sleeve in progress. Back to L.A. next month to just about finish it (I hope)
