ha i think i was 12 or 13 at the time. i'm on the left, and we were disgustingly pretentious as a duo. we thought we were the baddest around, and then got a shock of reality at a battle of the bands. Luckily, we grew up, and still play together.

Thankfully, I grew out of Robert Smith hair and makeup - although, in my defence, I did not steal it from my mother, it belonged to me - and no, I was never an emo, that was a GOTH band!

Here's a pic of me from 1989 at an undisclosed military academy after a dance gig. I don't remember if the other guys were in the band, which was named The Amish Quilts. Yup, that's blue and yellow electrical tape on my Yamaha BB300 (or BB330, I don't remember now). We had an awesome guitar player from Singapore who played this snake skin covered custom ESP and later wore Flea-ish stuffed animal pants. Those were the days...
