Post Your Pedal Board XII - Dirty Dozen

I got my BB preamp and CP9 pro + today. I already have a strobostomp and a maxon af-9.

Once I get a phaser (quasar most likely, although it seems out of stock everywhere!), I will board it, wire it, power it and be ready or pics!

This seems to be working out very well for me. Basic Modern sound is either of my main basses with only the MultiComp on. Deep bass sound is the left VT-bass. Edgy bass sound is the right VT-bass. (Settings in photo are not representational of use)

Still have to put a real cable solution into place, but it works well as is. I'd still like to add some kind of blend/mix pedal to control the synth mix when using as I rarely need a 100% synth sound. Tuner could be ran via my NeoPak's Tuner out as my basses never go out of tune during a set, and if they would I'm smart enough to bring it back into tune mid-song. With that in mind I see a couple potential spots opening up once more compact cables are used.

I like the way you tidy up the cables by wrapping them around themselves. Neat! My (Gator) board was such a total mess until today when I swapped to George L's, so I'm impressed with yours.

well, i was going to post of pic of my board once i got the GeminiDrive on, but now i'm rethinking my board.

just too much drive.
i can't stand fuzz, so that's gone. but what to do? i'll likely get the EBS UniChorus, and the Catalinbread Valcoder Trem for fun. tell you what... i'd love to get an EHX Worm, but have no way of powering it, as i have to daisy chain my pedals. stupid EHX!:scowl:

point of it all: i'm not sure what exactly i'd like, but modulation is the order of the day. any suggestions as to getting the most bang for my buck?

I finally re-wired my board so I don't have to kick patch cables out of the way to turn things on and off. George L's jacks are a huge space-saver. My LS-2 in particular was just a total nightmare before.

Korg G5 -> BMS -> Meatwad (Loop: LS-2 (OC-2 | Pulse Synth) -> Pickle Pie 'B') -> Bassballs -> DOD Phasor -> LMB-3 -> Tuner

Although personally I'd replace the CEB3 with the Line6 Roto-Machine.

Thats a seriously good synth board, i approve Keep an eye out for mine when i get round to completing it! I just need to get round to finding the money for a certain last pedal.

Egads... I hadn't seen that. I'm not completely convinced on the Chorus yet. Still contemplating a Stereo Mistress or now (thanks to you) some of the ToneCore pedals as I could swap out modules.

None of my effect uses are major. My rig is more about tone choice options. I've no real use for any of the noise-makers that are out there.

I think I'm mostly done, I'm pretty happy with the sounds I'm getting. I might swap out the phaser or the bassballs for a tap tremolo, and I'm really tempted to get this delay, but I don't have any room for it...

I am one of the few here I guess that don't like chorus on bass. (A lot of the effect junkies are raving about chorus.)

I had the exact same chorus-pedal you have. I bought it used and gave it away.

Perhaps it's because of the music style I am playing that I don't like chorus.

I found a "rotary speaker" effect a very cool alternative for chorus. It's more subte than chorus.
I suggest you try one out if you have the chance. Especially if you set it a slow speed, it's good for the mellower pieces.
Especially if your guitarist is using chorus at a certain point, the bass on chorus doesn't sound that right to me.

Just my humble experience.

The expression pedal is controlling the cut-off on my Meatwad. I do have another exp. on the way which I'm going to try with the G5, but I don't know if it will be useful enough to stay on my board, since they both do essentially the same thing.

Is funny you should say that, as the Whammy is actually my absolute favourite pedal and will never be sold! Would have it on my small board instead of the Dunlop Wah if it could run on normal 9 or 18v 'DC' power. Am definately sure it will make its return soon though!
