I've spent more time and money than I'd like to admit on effects; regardless of where my search for new gear leads me, I keep coming back to several pieces of kit that are exemplary when it comes to sound, price, functions, and form factor:

Delay - Echobox
Filter - Prometheus, Bottom Feeder
Noise - Noisebox
Chorus - Analogman Clone Chorus (correct name?)
and so on...

Caveat: I put pride in being unique; but if you see my board morph into something that resembles Tayste's collection, go easy on me.:help:

So I own one, but never really went through the trouble to find out. Is there not a power supply that will work with the Whammy IV?

It is a phase shifter that I designed. It is based of the MXR Phase 90 but has many differences. It offers control over speed, waveform, bias, and has a mix knob for blending your clean signal in.

The toggle switch will disable the speed control, but allow the user to use his foot via photosensors to control the rate in real time. Plus, the LED will flash in time with the phase.

This is the prototype box. The real boxes will be shipped off to be hand painted. Yes, soundclips will be available when it is done :)

I used to be an avid user of phaser, back when I was in a rockband.
If only I had what you described back then. :atoz:

These days I don't have a use for a phaser in the music I play.

But that doesn't mean I do not want one. :)

Lol yeah, honestly, I don't either, but a guitarist in a band I'm in really wanted one, so I designed a super phasor. Then another guitarist wanted it two and what the heck, since I have the parts, might as well be on my board too. :p

A standard Whammy power supply is pretty straight-forwards to find, but in terms of 'multi-supplies' I found only a Burkey Flatliner pro could power the Whammy plus all my other pedals (including an Eventide Time factor needing 600 mA minimum). Very few will do AC 'and' DC power particularly in a small package.

Maybe in the future I'll contact Burkey and ask about a custom Flatliner Six if I miss my Whammy too much, as I'd much rather that on my board than the Dunlop Wah :smug:

BTW, I wish you could see the laces in my shoes...light blue Gremlins laces that I've been transfering to new shoes since Gremlins 2 came out :D

It's(going to be) a signal path thing. The Fab Tone is going to come after the Wasabi Distortion, and the Psycho Flange is going to be after the Hash Browns. The space beside the Daddy-O is reserved for either a Sitar Swami or a Free Speech Talk Box, depending on which one I need at the time, and the two spaces on the left side of the board are going to have a Wasabi Forward/Reverse Delay and a Back Talk Reverse Delay. Money's been a little tight the last few weeks, so I haven't bought anything new lately, but hopefully the board will be totally done in another month or two.

I figured it was something like that. I'm the opposite, as my new board probably shows....I'm anal about pedals being in their "upright" position. It's bugging the living s___ out of me that my little IgorFX "buffer" has to lay on its side, even though it really doesn't have a top or bottom, left or right.

Voodoo Lab is also working on one: the Pedal Power Versa. It's a combination of features from their PP-2+ (which powers DC pedals) and their PP-AC (which could power the Whammy).

Based on my last e-mails with them, it won't be out until later this year or early next year...
