Just checked out your chain suggestion.....I like it!! You're right, weirder and synthier, good description.

Revised pedal order!

Nice looking mini. I just orderd one so I do not have to tote my pt2 to church when I just use a few pedals week end and week out. Going to put my tuner, chorus and flanger for sure. Not sure what else I am going to pull for weekly use just yet.

Nicely done Luv
me like a lot, :bassist:

Where you got that cable management thingy?

how's that VT treating you
I'm about to order one very soon.

Funky

Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it!

"Cable thingy" came from my local ACE hardware store. Called a Kwik Klip, 3/8" size. A package of 6 cost $2.75.

The VT is great! I have a Markbass combo and the VT allows me to get a little "tubiness" out of it.

Hope this helps!

A few pedals....that's how I started (a TU2 and distortion pedal). Then I started reading this forum and :help: !

That's why I got the mini...to help me control my pedal consumption. I'm not sure it's working! I'm waiting on a Helter Skelter/Polish Love pedal. Could..not..help..it!

FYI, I keep my TU2 off the board so I can "grab and go" when I don't need effects.

Hey Ima, I don't want to be the pedal-order Gestapo, but have you tried running your Muff into the delay? The Big Muff is so compressed sounding that it mashes all of your delay trails into the same level, and ends up sounding like mud. Maybe try running TU-2 -> OC-3 -> BMP -> DD-3.

I'll try that. I'm kind of new at this so I just kind of put things in no particular order. Right now I'm just kind of experimenting with placement and levels and whatnot.

Thanks for the suggestion :bassist:

EDIT: OK yeah, I tried it, and it does sound better. The delay is a lot more defined., instead of just pulsing fuzz.

On my PT-2 I have 8 pedals and room for more. For my weekly church gig I only use three of them. I got tired of toting the whole thing around to not use most of them. It is going to be a nice grab and go for me. I don't need three flavors of dirt, bass balls and the few other things on there for church.

I have 4 pedals on my wish list right now all subdecay. The Echobox, Noisebox, Quazar and prometheus. Only the quazar is planned to make it to the mini. Some of the other will make gust appearances as needed.

I hear ya! Don't play a church gig (or temple gig for that matter! :p) but I didn't want to haul around something PT2 or PT Jr. size. I figure 4-5 pedals is plenty.

So, as far as pedals are concerned, they either make the board or it's "Hasta la vista baby!"

Not so up to it with the image hosting thing so pic is attached till i figure that out.

Signal Chain (for now): TU2 -> Volume -> Crybaby Bass -> DL4 -> Hot Cake -> VT Bass -> Amp

DL4 is so massive but a lot of fun so for now it stays but if I dont do much looping it will get replaced once our dollar improves hehe. Thinking about an Echobox, also desperately want an Analogman Chorus Clone and a Supercollider.

Board is home made as a temporary measure till i get a PT2

Do you have any sort of review of the SMM/H? I seem to remember that you got it modded to :hmm: What mods (if any)?

Im interested in its reverse delay and looping ability. I know its a basic looper, but I would like to know how easy it is to use as such.

I know, I know.... search and all that jazz. Im getting to it. Its just that TaySte_2000 happend to remind me to do so :ninja:

Oh, and is your handle pronounced "Tasty"???? :hiding:

It's Tay Ste as in STEven TAYlor

I'm going to do a video of the SMM/H tomorrow I think but it has a lot to go through so I need to make sure I've got all my settings down

Got 'em up on a 3/4in piece of particle board on top of a few 2x4's making a box. I need to put some velcro across the top. (anybody know where I can get an entire 12x24 piece?) All pedals except the Qtron+ are being powered by the dunlop. Once I get my Gemini back, I'll take an updated shot.
