<drool> two octavers, two envelope filters, me like!! What's the diff between BOD and the Octamizer? How do you like the MXR envelope filter?

the BOD is very nice. thick fat analog sound. and the mid boost switch helps with definition. i think i like the Octa better tho. it has a seperate filter for the octave down tone and for the clean tone. gives a LOT of options on what tone is coming out.

i like the Groove Reg, but i don't think it's for me. it has a kinda slow sweeping filter thing that doesn't really suit me.

i DO like the BEF a lot. it's very nasty, and gets either a distorted splanky noise that is good for disgusting people and convincing them you should never be allowed to play a musical instrument again.

that and a very nice filtery funk sound.

i like both.

but i'm just keeping the doubles of stuff all on there to try them out in differen situations. deciding what to keep when i get some stuff.

murple.

I've got a Submarine Designer that might take the place of the Radial JDI...we'll see about that...

Only doubles? lightweight:spit:

i'd be lost without both the micro pog and the oc-2. well, not really, actually i got along for decades without an octave pedal at all, and i usually take one or the other on the road. but now that i have both, eh, who am i kidding? i'm ready to start plugging straight in again ;)

except for the vtd. and since i have the vtd, might as well have a couple octavers as well, eh? but no more whammy pedal. that thing was a bitch to carry around!

Bah, might as well post it. It hasn't changed much, aside from the settings on everything.

I'm thinking about ditching the mini-mixer, and the PD-7 to get a Boss DS-1 and another pre-amp. :\ I dunno...Someone mentioned the PD-7 as being "mushy." Not really grindy like I want...Not sure what Pre-amp I want though. >.<

AT THE SAME TIME!???!?

it's just.... wrong. like singing "Locomotion" to your wheelchair bound girlfriend. and then acting out the dance. and laughing 'cause she does it wrong.
i used to work with little eva a lot when she was alive, and she used to do that herself, so no big deal.

Nevermind, I re-arranged everything (Wah placed post-mini mixer, mixed Distortion channels, phaser after both clean and dirty channels, cranked levels on the mixer), and now it sounds MUCH better.

Forgive the crappy iPhone pic. I tried to clean it up with NoiseNinja, but...it's 11:20 at night and I'm trying to keep it down.

I'm really getting G.A.S for a whammy of some sort...like the XP-100 Whammy Wah...

Octave/5th up harmony makes my ears gasm.

Do you use the kind of metaphors and expressions that you use on TalkBass in the real world?

If so, I could understand why your bandmate wouldn't let you have a mic. You'd steal his limelight. :P
