Wow. I can believe that I made 3 major changes in one thread! And all before the half way mark :eek:

Now back to our scedualed program. After another sexy look at my sexy board:

ive got the back row pedals on little platforms with velcro, all juiced with a 1 spot, the AB is for running 2 amps.

soon to remove the Devi Fuzz, and add the Bogdan OD, probably remove the Q tron too, at least for the set. so far im pleased with my pedals, but its been a long road...

But again I'd like to ask someone who actually has one what it weighs. I've just weighed three bass gig bags together. Total weight: 3.1 pounds. That's three of them, so I doubt that one soft case for the PT Pro weighs ten pounds unless the side supports are made of lead. Maybe with the pedalboard inside....

And I've got an eight space anvil case sitting here that I just weighed as well. Slightly larger overall dimensions but nowhere near 32 pounds. Nowhere near.



And here's why I ask the question....Based on dimensional weights used by UPS/FedEx/DHL/etc., the case WOULD weigh 32 pounds. But I don't think it does in actual weight. I could well be wrong here but I'd like someone who has one to verify. That's all. I can read every site that has them for sale quoting manufacturer's specs.

And I've got my new board, 25% larger than a PT Pro, made from oak slats with aluminum binding, that weighs 25% less than the lightweight aluminum slat board? I didn't think that was right so I was curious is all. It's not important.

Otay, Buckwheat. I see what your looking for. It depends on how they ship it... Is the case acting as its own box, or do they add another?

And tell me more about this oak board.... Sounds like I need one. :ninja:

Not much to tell, there are a couple of pics of it earlier on in this thread. It's made of 1/4" red oak slats, mostly 3" wide but there are a couple of 2" wide pieces running along the bottom at the front and the back just for a little more support of the front rail. All wrapped up in a 1/2" aluminum channel. Total cost so far for the 32x20 board is less than $50. (That's the completed base. I could leave it like this and be fine). I'll have to look for my receipts, but that includes the aluminum, wood glue and the wood. Took a couple of afternoons to put together and it weighs 5 pounds, 3 ounces.

I have two weeks until our next rehearsal, so I basically tore my whole board apart and I'm redoing it. There are still a couple things missing (My glitch computer is at the studio, as is the exp. pedal for the HOG), and I may still change out a couple pedals. But this is similar to how it will be laid out. Only the power is wired up now, I'm getting some George L's in the next week.

Made a new pedalboard:

Its only about 15x12 inches. I was thinking about mounting the power supply underneath it (hence the hole) but if i end up getting a Diago or something similar then its pretty pointless.

Oh and i found these stickers on a tape cassette and thought i should stick them to my Drivemaster. Well... i think its pretty funny anyway:
