I've used the 3M super77 as well. It works great & I haven't had any leak-through problems with it. Just spray a light coat on both surfaces & then join. You'll get more consistent coverage than 1 heavy coat.

I don't suppose you could tell me what you're using to carry that? I was considering build my own board for something to do and I'd need a way to cover and carry it.

I tried the 3M spray stuff and it didnt work to well (with marine vinyl) It also marked/puffed out the vinyl as well. So i didnt dare use it on the last board i built.

I am using a padded keyboard bag right now. I am making my own ATA case where my board will sit in the shallow part and the top pulls off. Something similar to this

Mine will be similar to this as well, expect the bottom will be about as deep as the top is on that one, there will be storage underneath the pedalboard for cables, strings, etc., the handles will be recessed and set on the ends, there will be casters on one end and a handle on the other, and since the pedals in front will be lower than the pedals on the back of the board I'm going to have another little door in the top of the case with another storage compartment there.

But other than that, the pic is pretty close.






I used to do custom auto sound with the Super 77 and vinyl and never had the lumping problem....Perhaps you got hold of an old can of it?

Possibly an old can....but i used the day i bought it from Home Depot. My buddy is a contractor (25 years) that does everything
I let him use that Elmer's Ultimate Polyurethane Glue of mine and its the best stuff he said he has ever tried. I have only built 3 pedalboards and any more i build i will only use that stuff.

As far as your height on your bottom part. Will your pedalboard sit in it on stage? If so.....have you thought about the height you will need to lift your foot while playing?

My whole case will be built around the design of making the bottom part as shallow as possible. Once you are used to using a Wah or Whammy on the flat ground it sux the higher you have to lift your foot. This is why i built my board on a wedge design and not 2 tier.

Oh and mine also had those recessed built in wheels on one end and recessed handles around! as well

The pedalboard will lift out and sit flat on the floor. That's why I put the aluminum binding on it. There's no way I could build a top/bottom/whatever that would sit as low as I want it to and still allow some foam around the board.

Edit: Why do I want the compartment underneath for cables/mikes/strings/etc.? Have you ever kept those things in a small case that was easy to carry? I used to, until it walked out with someone else after a show. Now I want as few cases to carry as possible and nothing that is easy to walk away with.

Edit #2: I can't get used to the extra angle of the wah/volume pedal when they are placed at an angle on a board. I tried it once and it just wasn't at all comfortable for me.

Not yet. All I have is a box of parts for it right now, and not even all I'll need for it. I want to wait until the board itself is complete because knowing me I'll make a couple of changes to the design before it's through. I've already reinforced the center and moved the wah/volume pedals inboard and allowed for more bracing of the rear tiers.

What are you going to build yours out of? I'm likely to use 3/8 Birch ply with black laminate for mine.

Valerus, how do you like the Bi-Chorus?

The only dedicated Chorus pedal I've used in my gear is the Boss CEB-3 (not including the Mistress...different beast).

But this Bi-Chorus...

Took me under 2 minutes to fall in love with it.
I instantly dialed in two sounds I love (pictured).

It's ridiculously awesome man. As smooth as a baby's bottom (as gross as that sounds). And sounds warm, and not digital.

All in all, I am blown away. I've found my chorus pedal.

Oh, it's down the list a little ways. Still need my noisebox, another VP Jr, a buffer from Toasted, and a few other things.....By the time I get it to the top of the list you should have had plenty of time to write a righteous review.

And I might be wrong about the "digital" sounding. It doesn't sound nearly as digital as the CEB-3, let me put it that way.

I like the bi-chorus more than the Ibanez CS-9, btw. Haven't gotten a chance to try out the Maxon CS-9 Pro...
