the meatbox is a subharmonic generator. it generates sounds at two fixed frequencies, so an octave effect doesn't really describe it - although gets close.
the Hyperdrive is awesome, i run it all of the time, it adds anything from a little 'hair' to the signal (which is how i use it), to full on drive sounds and a decent blend control too to add just the right amount!.
As for the Weeping Demon, i absolutely love it. With the HM2 and blowtorch, i can get all kinds of cliff type screams and swells. I don't use it without the fuzzes, but YMMV.
i have to say that it's probably the most versatile wah i have ever used, since almost everything is adjustable. It is also switchable between auto mode (step on to activate), and a more traditional wah mode (push the footswitch to the right of the treadle to activate)
i seriously recommend it for bass, and if mine were pinched i would replace it straight away.
