I think the Micro Amp is a fantastic, simple and overlooked boost pedal. When I was running 16 pedals in my chain, I had the Micro Amp dead last to help restore any loss of signAl in the long chain. it worked perfectly. No change to my tone, no added noise, no loss of highs or low end and can be set to add just a touch of boost or a substantial volume boost with no clipping.

for $75 new, its hard to beat.

I use it as a volume boost when I slap, which is not that often. I think this pedal is great for this type of thing.

There are no tone or noise issues at all.

I got mine off EBay for like 50 bucks, and its not supposed to be a reissue though I'm still trying to figure out the year. Its got a 1/8" power plug and a label inside that says inpected in 1995.

I'm in the process of building a new board now (waiting on the Guyatone phaser and the old FX25 to arrive) and I've placed the Micro Amp just after my EHX pedals, which are near the front of my chain (just after the Bass Driver). This will mitigate the slight tone suckage from either (or both of) the Micro Q-Tron or Nano Bass Balls, allowing me to send a "re-boosted" signal to the rest of the pedals in my chain.

It is a great, simple boost pedal.

The new layout, Minus the compressor and Rocktron Nitro, but plus the El Grande, still sans board. The velcro i need is in my house somewhere, and i am too cheap to buy new velcro.

I've been missing having a few of my pedals hooked up on a regular basis, so I put together a "quickie" 2nd board to put in my primary boards' aux loop. It's just a piece of particle board I had laying around. I wouldn't take it out of the house for any actual gig or session - but it's fine for my practice/studio space!

For the record, I definitely don't advocate the use of cheap hosa cables & the signal flex power supply! Also, the Thunderhead does not like having my Valve Drive in front of it for some reason.... hmmmm.

I sold off about a third of my pedals this week. This is what's left, some are for bass some for guitar.

Not on the board, Jumbo Tone Bender and Brassmaster clones.

I haven't A/Bed with an original, but I used the same transistor and component types and it sounds basically like Tone Bender demos I've heard. Here's a pic.
