Yep thats the place I got mine, the guy is really helpful, you can specify size and colour etc.

I also ordered a Dharma decal (on my amp) and got "28.06.42.12" in four seperate stickers which I intended to put on 4 different boss style pedals. Not done this as yet as I'm starting to think it'd be a bit OTT.

I'm also slightly embarassed that the main interest in my pedalboard is coming from a $5 sticker :spit:

the looper is very useful to me, but i guess i could play without it. i will use 1 spot to power my smaller board.

And if some of your pedals are in the loop strip, maybe you could fit them (or at least part of them) under the tier as well - that way you'll never accidentally twiddle the knobs... :)

thanks for the suggestion. actually its not really the size that really bothers me. its the weight that's why i wanted to downsize my board. anyhow, i already decided to go as planned. i just ordered 1 spot from ebay and contacted my friend who makes my custom board. my next board will be 23 X 12 and it will be slimmer.

It's great, I find no noticable difference between going through the LS-2 or direct to my Sansamp.

I used to blend my clean tone in one loop with my GT2 in the other for dirt, but I've found I actually prefer the sound if I just use the GT2 loop on it's own and an EQ pedal to boost the lows and mids after the GT2. It gives a bit more beef, as the whole signal is distorted but with no low or mid loss.

Ha. I complimented you're board. You've made some very fine pedal choices, and its large as any I've ever seen. I'd really just congratulate you on being able to reach the back row.

very nice board! what's the signal path order, weight, and dimensions? awesome stuff.

whoatherchunck: signal path is still up for debate, I'm trying out different options and I have a LS-2 on the way which should help tenfold.

As it stands:
CS-2, PN-2, Echo Park, OC-2, Helter Skelter, 105q, BBM, Rat, Sansamp.
Clean Parallel out goes to VT-1 > Mixer.
Sansamp out:
Moog, MXR, Whammy, FL-10, BSW, SMMH, RC-2 > Mixer.

I set the RC-2's loop level to match my overall volume to avoid a drop when engaged, the whammy doesn't track as well that far on in the chain but its mainly used with delay so not a problem. Having a lot of fun recording a loop on the RC-2 and then an identical one on the SMMH, then getting down, reversing/messing with the tempo&pitch, fading between the two ect.

Next I want to learn more about the carrier in/out & LFO out on the Moog & see what I can do with those.

Its 83x55cm, not sure on weight but I had no problems taking it to a practice last Sunday. I'm planing on getting a custom flight case although first it needs finishing. :rolleyes:

SnakeAnthony: I really don't have a problem reaching the back row; Sansamp & VT-1 are always on, just have to be careful with the Moog as the SMMH dials are close. My main issue is holding down the second stage on the FL-10; I get a little off balance so that will come down a row. I play barefoot which also helps and is clearly the future. Just you wait, Converse on music video's? Nnnnaaa... more like BIG, SWEATY, HAIRY TOES!

But yeah give me some more time to mess with it, and I'll give a better review.

By the way, I work at a guitar shop and we got this in today (I had to special order it myself, that's how bass-deficient we are) and I am borrowing it for like 1-2 days. So this isn't MINE and I haven't bought it yet...

But from the looks of things, I'll be sticking with my good 'ol messdrive. :)

In conclusion, I do not like the El Grande. Good thing I didn't buy it first.

My MessDrive should not fear being replaced. Best fuzz pedal EVAR

I've tried or owned several other octave pedals, and the Multiplexer is by far my favorite. It tracks okish down to open A, and warbles all over below that. Heck, open A warbles, but in a good way. What I like about it is the blend knob and filters. You can sculpt the octave to your liking, and it has a built in distortion switch which I never use, preffering my own fuzz flavor. Most other TBers like the POG better, but I was unimpressed. I use my octave with filter and fuzz for a crazy synth sound, and for that it's perfect.

I just got it this past weekend, but I did play thru it for 2 4-hour sets, and it definitely gave my sound more punch and clearer lows. I play a musicman bass, and the badd head (my hartke) is now the weak link in my rig.

This peavey was $50 from craigslist and worth every penny and then some...


I'll know more when I play thurs night and run it thru the full stack in an open-air show at a much bigger place.
