Rickenboogie...
How do you like the MultiPlexer? How low does it track?
thanks

I've tried or owned several other octave pedals, and the Multiplexer is by far my favorite. It tracks okish down to open A, and warbles all over below that. Heck, open A warbles, but in a good way. What I like about it is the blend knob and filters. You can sculpt the octave to your liking, and it has a built in distortion switch which I never use, preffering my own fuzz flavor. Most other TBers like the POG better, but I was unimpressed. I use my octave with filter and fuzz for a crazy synth sound, and for that it's perfect.

New board; found it in my mum's garage on Friday. It was practically perfect for what I was planning on building.

Just made a slight adjustment then stuck down the velcro which fit perfectly! This stuff is incredibly good, comes highly recommended.

Outputs from RC-2 & VT-1 currently go to a small mixer before the amp.

Still a work in progress: I plan to get a better power supply which will go underneath the board & I'll be adding ramped sides to it ala Pedaltrain. New cables will come in next payday, then once I have a new power supply I can let the G.A.S take over again. Planning on putting an EHX XO BMS in place of the current power supply, I have an FX25 for the BSW and an LS-2 on the way.

Nice night shot, and board in general.

Where'd you get that Donnie Darko sticker?

I don't have a picture yet as I'm still obtaining the pedals. I can tell you what it WILL be though!

SansAmp Bass Driver Deluxe --> Dunlop 105Q --> Aphex Punch Factory --> Boss ODB-3 --> Boss CEB-3 --> Boss FL-3 --> Korg PitchBlack --> Boss FV-500H

And when the pedals are bought and it's put together I will definately show pics!!:bassist::bassist::bassist::bassist:

How's the El Grande compare to the Messdrive?

In comparison, the Messdrive Hybrid blows the grande out of the water.

I've come to the conclusion that, in my experience with the Grande, it is NOT active friendly.

It sounds like crap on active.
Now when I flip my switch to passive, I get some cool sounds.

But overall, I like the Messdrive a lot more.

Ah yes, the deep switch. Um...for me all it does is add some dB of bass, that's it. Not too convincing for me...

But yeah give me some more time to mess with it, and I'll give a better review.

By the way, I work at a guitar shop and we got this in today (I had to special order it myself, that's how bass-deficient we are) and I am borrowing it for like 1-2 days. So this isn't MINE and I haven't bought it yet...

But from the looks of things, I'll be sticking with my good 'ol messdrive. :)

nice setup, can u plz tell me the chains (a/b)?
cheers

The guvnor in one and the octabass in the other. Its so when the guitar goes soloing you play up and octave, have a distorted sound and phat bottom. The foot controller on the left turns on the subharmonic on my head so i have a clean octave there and the ebs one goes on and off as i need it.

this really makes me think now if i should proceed with my plan on making my board smaller...

guys, what do you think?

Ever considered making a 2nd tier at the back of your board? I-ve seen it done to a Rockbag board (http://www.stinkfoot.se/andreas/diy/mods/cases2.htm), and you could easily fit your power supplies under it - maybe not your power strip though without modifications...

And if some of your pedals are in the loop strip, maybe you could fit them (or at least part of them) under the tier as well - that way you'll never accidentally twiddle the knobs... :)

Just my 50 öre of thought...
