I'll try to 1. Bring my 8 track home next time I am going that way or 2. Bring my pedalboard up here (to school) so I can record some samples.

The Tube Factor is my favorite pedal on my board, there is absolutly nothing about it I do not like. The TBD is a beast, it took me a couple months to figure it out because everything reacts differntly to it. It is deffinatly fun, but by no means a pretty sounding pedal.

I looking to add another gain pedal to my board. My Blueberry is about as close to perfection as I've found, but I'd like another pedal with a little more "hair", so to speak. The Tube Factor is one of about three that I'm considering currently.

The latest lineup:

Planet Waves Tuner --> Boss NS-2 --> Asdown Dual Band Compressor --> Ashdown Drive Plus --> Double Looper --> Loop 1 --> Ibanez PD7 Phat Hed --> Behringer BCH100 Chorus --> Loop 2 --> Tech 21 Sansamp BDDI --> back to the NS-2 and out.

The board was designed by me (well, I ripped it off by combining the best parts of two designs out on the market actually) and built by a carpenter friend of mine.

cmhgreg - Just a thought about layout...
Being that the looper is something that you'll probably need to use frequently, I'd put it in the bottom row for easier access - maybe switch spots with the NS-2.

Nice looking board. It's good to have skilled friends, isn't it? My cabinet-maker buddy built my board.

Eric F: good point. I've thought about the same thing but I'm too cheap to go out and by different patch cables. I think what I need to do is get one of those kits where you build your own cables so you can customize the length. That is the only reason I haven't rearranged them into a more productive order.

One thing you can't tell from the picture is that the board tilts toward you. That definitely helps.

Is that the ToneBone pedalboard you got there?

If so how is it? It looks unstable and flimsy to me.

Thanks. I would say the type of sound I'm going for is a warm, old school SVT type sound right now. The compressor and the Sansamp are on most of the time. I use the Drive Plus (with the Sansamp) on some blues tunes. The stuff on Loop 1 is just for fooling around at home mostly.

The stuff on Loop 1 only comes on when I'm fooling around for my own enjoyment, so it's not a real big deal like you said. The Sansamp on Loop 2 is on most of the time, so I'm not having to navigate the back row all that much.

Ok,
I love the pedals, but that is the ugliest coffee table I have ever seen! A tree stump and varnish is not furniture if you ask me, but I am sure you could get some great fingerboards out of it

I actually like the table myself. However, i don't think that pedalboard looks very portable, lol...

I'll have you know, thats a one of a kind, Cali. red wood custom made coffe table, from the '70's. I did 3 days of electrical work, for this I wanted it so bad. :)

It looks bad to the bone, when you see it in person.

It has accumulated a lot of dust in the cracks, and crevis'es. Any ideas on how to clean, and restore to a glossy waxed finish ?

Ive tried steam, Ive tried air pressure,
the only thing I know to do, is put in the back of a pickup, take it to a high pressure car wash, and spray furniture polish on it, as soon as it dries.

In this pic, i had just sprayed a bunch of polish on it. dust and all. Ha!
