Post Your Pedalboard - Part II

I just took a picture of my current setup, I'm still messing around with pedal order.

The order that I've been running it in as of late is:
Danelectro Bacon 'N' Eggs > Whammy IV (dry) > Q tron > BassBalls > Line 6 Echo Park
Whammy IV (wet) > MXR Blue Box > Line 6 Echo Park
Line 6 Echo Park> Dunlop Crybaby 105Q > SansAmp BDDI

I hope that makes sense. I occasionally run the dry out from the Q Tron to my amp as well, for a pseudo-triamp setup.

Lot's of noise capabilities from these!

Yeah I like the wah, it's very funky. It's got a Q knob so you can get obnoxious and subtle and everywhere in between! I think the only problem that I have with it is the switchless design, that can get a little annoying at times, but it's a very minor problem. I highly recommend the pedal!

dude, loving the effects... the whammy into the blue box sounds like it would be amazing, and I have a strong love for the q-tron as of late

Hey, some nice pedals there. How's the MXR blue box work with bass? do you like it/whats it like? (well obviously you do like it, as it's on your board, but you know what i mean)

You are exactly right about the Whammy into the Blue Box, it sounds amazing! One cool bit that I've played around with is setting the Whammy to 2 octaves up, then running the Blue Box with it's full 2 octaves down, so it's playing your original note, but it's gone through the synthyness of the BB and the Whammy, making it sound very strange.

The Blue Box is a very fun little pedal. On the one hand, it's a real nice fuzz, and if you're into noise stuff like me, it also has the highly erratic 2 octave down circuit. The lower octave stuff doesn't sound *as* great on the bass, but with some tweaking, and especially with the whammy, it can sound amazing.

Heres mine, I havn't posted mine before because it's nowhere near finished.

Don't tell me about the cables...I just ordered a George L's set.

Over the next month I'm planning on replacing...

DOD by DHA VT-1 Purist
Echo Park by Guyatone MD-3
and adding a Small Clone.

What I do like about my current set up is using the LS-2 blend to have the swell the Echo Park going the overdrive.

So you get play a note, hear a clean note for a short amount of time, then suddely an overdriven note swells it's way in. Pretty cool.

Oh yeah, and 4 out of the 5 are second hand :)

Actually gandhirrea, no - it was very second hand, beaten the crap out of when I bought it (theres still a little S/H on it, for second hand). Ironically enough it's the Echo Park that isn't second hand, and it's the one I most want to get rid of (can't put up with the noise it generates, when the effect isn't on you can hear a click when the LED comes on to indicated tempo).

And Phyrexian - good point, I am aware that the MD-3 doesn't have tap tempo and I don't really use it on the Echo Park, don't really use any of the settings other than the standard in a band situation. I might miss the swell, but thats about it.
