That's a lot of Line 6 modellers!!!

Not a bad thing at all I've always loved the ease of use of patch-able multieffects like the ME-50B, and those line 6s are a nice compromise between singles and multis.

It's not a pedal board yet, but this is my pedal so far. I started to buy some (received as a gift to be precise) only about 3 weeks ago. This is what I have so far with an EBS Chorus in the mail that should be here sometimes next week. Dog hairs included.

Yvon, is that an EB Volume Pedal???

If so, does it cause a lot of tone suckage?...Im in need of a good volume pedal, but i dont want to sacrifice my tone...

It is an EB volume pedal. No it doesn't change the tone at all.
I'm picky about that, it's one of the reason that I buy pedals slowly, it's one of the thing I make sure.

It's quite expensive, but I think it worth it. Very solid, very heavy!
The only thing that is not very good about it, it's that the volume change happen only in the last half of the volume swell.
I don't mind too much since I mostly use on and off.

Have you tried messing with the taper switch inside the pedal? It changes the swell rate. I think there are upgrade pots available from a couple boutique pedal companies too.

There's always the goodrich if you want top notch vol pedals.

A passive volume pedal shouldn't suck your tone any more than the volume knob in your bass sucks your tone.

I use an EB volume pedal. The only thing to watch for is the string breaking or comming off the pedal. My guitar player uses one and it broke in the middle of a show. Then mine broke the next week. Both of us went out and bought new ones, so they must not be too bad...

Ah, but I have read many posts from people saying the tone of their passive bass is in fact altered by rolling back the volume, due to the change in impedance. This is also what accounts for the way a passive bass interacts with a germanium xtr fuzz, which can be observed by adjusting the vol. knob.

RE string breakage: i'm using the EB volume pedal that my GRANDFATHER has used since the early 80's. never broken a single thing.

I have had a totally opposite experience with EB volume pedals...mine is definately a tone sucker...I don't use it anymore.
