While I'm in here, I might as well mention, that even though I already started building a phaser for that spot at the top right of my board, I'm starting to think I might rather have a Jamman up there, not for looping, but for adding in some of the noise/electronic stuff I do, in between songs. Drummer was asking me to do that. If I get a Jamman, it will be my third. I always think I'm going to need/want one, and then change my mind. Oh well.

Yeah, it's a nice stop-gap solution for now. I actually leave it on six stage mode pretty much exclusively. Lately I've started using it (or the DOD 595 before I sold it) with the rate up high with synth sounds for a bit of LFO type movement.

The big concern (;)) now is what to do with the open space on the bottom left. I originally thought I'd have a delay but I'm waiting to see how I like the Headrush (which will be off board) for that purpose first. So I've got an open slot.

Some candidates:

A flanger (maybe a Guyatone FL-3)?
Subdecay Noise Box?
Dr. Scientist Reverberator?
Boss SYB-3/5 in the blend loop?
Wait for the Holley Erectus?

Thoughts? Other suggestions?

Nice board, a lot of tone shaping. For what purposes do you use the VT Bass, Tone Hammer and Linden EQ? Do they get redundant?

Linden- I've got the highs way down on the Linden, and with the volume a bit above unity and the bass boosted a little more, it gives me some thumpy, bloomy bass. It has lots of headroom, so there's no breakup.

VT- I've come around on this pedal. I've got the the level set closer to noon for moderate breakup, which really sounds awesome. Even with the highs dialed down, a lot of mid highs pass through and it can be pretty crunchy, which helps it stand out a bit in the mix. If you turn the linden on, you totally change the charater of the overdrive on the VT (significantly different than the character knob), and an overall boost in volume to stand out if needed.

Tone Hammer- The AGS on the TH has taken a back seat for the most part, which is too bad since it sounds great. The volume boost when engaged makes it pretty unusable on the fly. No redundancy on the EQ, though, as I send Pre-EQ to the PA/FOH, and post eq helps me adjust my stage sound. I can notch problem Hz, or roll down the overall Bass for a boomy room. Highs can be rolled down to reduce any hum or to calm down tweets.

Overall, i think it's great to have the flexibility, especially since these days I'm using other people's rig about as much as my own.
