i say for a normal bass gig you don't need any thing other than a basa and amp (and that is what i bring to a normal gig ;) )... but as a sound designer i need to experiment... the project that is this monster of efx's is not finished... i am planing to get all of this to 3 or 4 large boards that will connect together to form the bigest efx's monster in the world

the signal will be split and mixed in different ways along the chain... i have experimented on that, but like i have stated before my mixer is being rehoused and modified for floor use... you could not belive what sound scapes can be achieved with parallel stereo mixing of different efx

Sure you can mount them anywhere, but I think the point djelting is making is that a) the Third Hand appears to be about half the size of an exp pedal, if not smaller. And secondly, the third hand is basically using a big arched cable attached to the pot in place of the knob, and controlling it with a little mini exp pedal. I could see it being a bit troublesome to make adjustments.. not exactly the same as a regular exp pedal I don't think.

*edit* I just looked at a picture and it's actually pretty big, but I still don't think the adjustments would be as easy.

To clear the confusion -

I was referring to the option knob when I said that course adjustments are easier than fine ones. The problem for me is one of balance - especially in the heat of a rocking performance, it's hard to stand on one leg and carefully turn the wings (without stepping to hard and breaking a shaft). If I'm sitting and doing low-to-moderate rocking, it's easier to control.

I have never used the third hand - but if I wanted even more stuff on my board, I'd be into the idea.

got my noisebox,... now just have to find which pedals I want to keep on the board or wether I just want to keep the wah off the borad to free up space,... and pedal order of the remaining pedals :/

I have a feeling alot of playing around is going to be happening!
was thinking about something like noise box into flying tomato into PD7 into weeping demon into carbon copy into tuner,... thats if that fits on the pedal tote...

Hahaha I used to own a Toadworks Squishy and also the MXR vintage comp and finally the Diamond. I just received it a couple days ago so havent had much time to play around with it but as of now, its an awesome pedal! I'm using a 4 string Sterling so the Diamond does an awesome job with sufficient headroom using a 9v. Excellent unit, esp with the tilt EQ knob. Transparent, low/almost no noise level. And delivers a smooth tone as well with sustain. I havent tried the multicomp from EBS but the Diamond is by far one of the gems out there.

Ps. Spoke to Wallace from Diamond regarding the difference between this unit and the soon to release Bass compressor. Basically he says, if you're using a 4 stringer, the present model works great and well but with a 5/6 stringer, it's probably better to wait for the bass compressor in case you're worried.

You ran Weepin Demon into Carbon Copy.. that way your delayed signal will be the last wah signal each time you rock the Demon... If the other way around would be the case, each delayed signal (or repeated) coming out of CC could be modulated through wah and that would also be something else :) So did you line up those two like that on purpose or just lined up that way??
