A lot of these boards on here are flat. When contemplating building mine, i've always thought of it being at a 45 degree angle. Any thoughts?

To be fair, their demo sound is a pretty popular one (generally strat -> small overdriven tube amp), and for what it is, I think it sounds good. As long as you listen on their site, and not the compressed-to-hell clips on youtube.
+1, and it'd be incredibly difficult to transport if it's designed to hold more than one row of pedals.
Many boards are designed to rest at an angle (Pedaltrain, Pedalpad, etc.), but there are also some which opt for a two-tier design instead (i.e., NYC Pedalboards).
A two-tier design doesn't change the fact that your board will be very tall, but it's easier and more effective to use and build than a board with a really steep angle.
If you opt for an angled design, you need to consider what pedals you plan to place on the back row. Angle isn't the only factor that's important - board dimensions are important as well. A board at a steep angle is only practical if the back row isn't right against the front row. If it is, then the angle is pointless as you'll still be stepping all over your front row pedals to turn the back row pedals on. A mild to moderate angle, coupled with a board that's large enough to set the back row a decent distance from the front row, is the ideal design (IMO).
A lot of people say that my board is way too steep, and I'm nowhere near 45 degrees. My board is 20 inches deep by 7 inches high, which is about 19 degrees. Just right for me, but some people think that is excessive
Okay, I know I just made a thread asking about Fuzzrocious pedals, but on the way home I decided to hop into the guitar shop here and played around on various pedals....
EHX Big Muff NYC: Sounded great, too much real estate, though
EHX Little Big Muff: Sounded great, too, but I noticed more low-end loss than the NYC Big Muff
EHX Bass Muff: Sounded as great as I was expecting
Zvex Wooly Mammoth: Too gritty
Zvex Fuzz Factory: Too much noise (and not the kind I want, either) and, IMO, sounded like a fart.
Death By Audio Fuzz War: One trick pony, not the trick I wanted
EHX Graphic Fuzz: Too much low end loss and it took up a lot of real estate
EHX Metamorphs: Already have a SansAmp, no need.
Boss ODB3: I.... like this?
EHX Bass Blogger: Muffy with nice, subtle OD. I.... really like this?!?!
A few months back I made a post bashing the crap out of the Blogger, saying its fuzz tone was horrible, it wasn't as versatile as EHX claimed it to be, etc. When I played through it this time it sounded much more muff-ish yet unique, and the OD was clear and sounded good. Come to find out my problem was the fact that I was playing it through an Orange rig the first time, and as the bass guy there said, "Orange makes this thing sound like crap." Played through Mesa, Ampeg, and GK rigs and it sounded much, much better. When I A/B'd it with the BBM I was able to dial out the exact same tones I was looking for! Throw in the more subtle OD option and I wound up buying it (and a fresh set of strings) My only complaint is that it cannot be daisy chained, but fortunately I had an extra 9V wall wart lying around and all my power cables can still fit on one power strip.
So my board is almost complete now. It's looking like the last thing on the list is the delay and MAYBE some compression....
EDIT AND CLARIFICATION
Seeing as there were 2 other people shopping pedals and for store convenience I was playing different pedals through different rigs. I had a muff to each rig, the Blogger to the Mesa, the Zveks through the ampeg, and the others scattered about. I should have just swapped them through the GK rig instead of scattering like that, but I wasn't the only one demoing pedals so as I said this was done for general convenience. The blogger is still on the board, but for how long?

Ya, I have the same Gorm and a coat of black spraypaint really took it to the next level of awesomeness.
Actually, if I move the moogerfooger all the way to the right and move the tuner above it, I will have room for a Carbon Copy (which I want anyway 
) and one more pedal or maybe a power brick, but that would make things very crowded.

I was told that it works on a four string. Haven't heard of anyone that has one trying it below E.
