I only really use it on the normal envelope filter mode, I think the other modes are pretty dismal. But the envelope filter mode is really quite awesome I think.

I'm back to a 2 board setup (PT mini & Jr) New pics coming soon. I've been busy building:

I'm in the same boat. I've got what is now my main board, the PT1, and my spares board, which is the PT jr. I don't really have anything I need on the jr. but it is going to fill up. I can't help myself. Then, I have to decide how I'm going to set up the boards, as all I really do it play with my band, jam with a few drummers, and do some open mic's on off nights. Problem is, there's always a time in any of those situations where I wish I had something that isn't there right then. I see a PT pro in my future.

For me, my desire to have a million pedals is always fighting my good sense that knows a bigger pedalboard means additional things that can go wrong during a gig. Having had my pedalboard fail more than once has led even a diehard pedal junkie like me to consider scrapping the whole thing. So I try not to get too out of control with my board. And the hassle of transporting and setting up two boards is not something I'll do again.
Plus at this point I'm best served by having a individualized "dub" board and another multipurpose setup rather than trying to cover everything with a single setup. Now the biggest problem is that I want/need an octaver for both boards and just sold the MXR leaving me with just one OC-2.
This made me laugh.
But as miniboards go, the "Angler/Frostbite/Echo Jr" is one of my favorites.
Latest changes: MXR BlowTorch, Source Audio Tri-Mod Phaser, Seymour Duncan ShapeShifter, Humphrey Audio Modded Bass Badder Monkey (I am amazed by this unit so far and it has definitely replaced my Sparkle Drive for low gain OD).
I also have an MI Audio Blue Boy Deluxe on the way that I'll A/B against the Humphrey Monkey. I'd also like to try out the Xotic BB, but I need to sell some pedals I'm not using first...

Haha sorry I can't seem to find my camera so I'm using my macbook to take pictures. It's an art, I've discovered. At least you can see what I'm using and presumably what order I'm using it in.
Strill, Feel free to ask questions though, I'm online frequently enough that you'll best slightly surpirsed by how fast I get back to you. I'm happy to answer any questions that I can. It took me a long time to build a board that I was 100% satisfied with.
I wouldn't change a single thing on this board at this point besides maybe swap the Humphrey Money out for another TS type pedal. To be clear though, I don't intend to sell the Humphrey Monkey unless the Blue Box Deluxe destroys it in their low gain OD cage match (and I doubt that any victory will prove to be less than pyrrhic here).
The Blue Boy Deluxe has some features that really really appeal to me, and that's probably because I use the MI Audio GI Fuzz.
Both the BBD and GI have a tone control that balanced low cuts/boost and high cuts/boosts. On the dial, so cutting the treble a hair will give you a hair of bass boost. We also have a dedicated cut/boost mid knobs that, at least on the GI, can produce a wide variety of spacer or scooped tones (less mids) or an aggressive focused punchy fuzz sound that bleeds overtones and get get as gated as you want... great fuzz... my new favorite/
The Blue Doy Deluxe is another lower gain TSer type of OD pedal at first glance, but can't possible be for too long.
You have standard TS controls over Volume and Gain in the middle. Allegedly, the BBD's gain knob can sweep much lower than triaditional TSes and it can also sweep mich higher than they can, but there's still plenty of settings to dial in a good balanaced EQ transparent overdrive.
You also have the Cut his /Boost lows knob that I have mentioned. Most tubescreamers do not have a type of 2 band EQ. But with the mids knob as well, the BBD basically offers you what is essentially a powerfully versatile 3-band eq.
The character knob effects how much the overdrive effects the lower frequencies. This seems like THE perfect feature to have on a bass overdrive. It's really a response to the clean blending fad as far as I can tell.
Last but not least, we have the brightness control for dialing in deeper or more cutting/piercing OD sounds and tailoring them to your amp.
Unless the bass response is awful on this (and it's excellent on the GI Fuzz), it could definitely replace my Humphrey Monkey (whom I love at the moment).
