In since the last time: the small stone phaser. Now the inevitable dilemna pops up: I want/need a wah, a fuzz and some type of line switcher. I use the sansAmp and chorus 100 % of the time and use the rest for seasonning. So I'd like to put them (the rest) on some kind of loop so I can get as close as I can to a pure tone (with the SansAmp + chorus). I think I can cram one more in there somewhere, but certainly not a wah. Soooooooo..... gonna have to go for a bigger board (sigh). And i thought I was finally free of this addiction, gonna have to start all over again...

Ah well... *beam me up scotty*

Built this last weekend. The DD-3 will be replaced by a Malekko Ekko 616 Analog Delay, as soon as I can scrounge up the cash. The Dano pedals (octave and delay) will be gone soon too, they're just for fun. Eventually a tuner too, but I'm poor. This is used for both electric and double bass.

Signal Path:
Bass -> Chili Dog Octave (purple Dano) -> Peavey Hotfoot Distortion -> Para Driver -> DD-3 -> Amp.

Dano Delay not connected right now. I usually put it before the DD-3.

Take off the lid!

And the lid is also an angled stand!

I know having walls on the board isn't totally ideal, but I drilled some holes for cables (and can always drill more!) and the thing is practically indestructible.

Nice! Good to see more homemade enclosures!

I had cut back to 3 pedals. Now I'm back up to 4 but they still fit in my case. My guitar player's house in on a dirt (snow) road so I have to stand my bass up in a case on the passenger's side of my pickup. Then there's a winding staircase to his basement studio making a separate board a major pain. This arrangement is heavier than two bags but more secure and more nimble. Besides, when I get home I plug in a volume and a delay on either end of my chain. You see, I'm too fickle for velcro.

The guv'nor is very useful in a band setting, because its midrange character really cuts through the mix. The EQ stages on it are very touchy though, but never hard to figure out. i use it mostly for doubled guitar parts. sounds great:smug:

That's awesome. I've been looking for a vintage one lately (you know, black, red stripes), and was always pretty skeptical about buying the GV-2, but i might have to take the plunge and see how i like it :smug:

Do you have any clips? I'm interested in hearing it :bassist:

To retain the symmetry of your board, all the Barbers should become different sans amps, a VT, a British and a Blond or California. That will have your low end and crunch. It won't Look as good though. Dirty Bomb w drive at 8 am in a blend for bottom is an interesting overdrive.

Well, I'm thinking of replacing the Dirty Bomb with a Bass Big Muff, the Direct Drive with a VT bass and adding a MXR BOD next to the Phase 90 for starters.
