I used to walk into gigs with my Diago Tourman pedalboard, and have people assume I was the keyboard player Shoulda seen their faces when I took the lid off!

Another random "story" that has nothing to do with anything other than bass: I was just watching a video of my band (and myself) jamming, and I realized that sometimes I play some sweet lines, haha. Is it weird that I was impressed with myself?

Another thing, I was listening to some makeshift recordings I did of myself a while ago, and I didn't remember ever playing them... I tried to reteach myself some of them and it took me a while to figure them out... haha so weird

Cool board, my man. Very neat. Just curious, is there any particular reason you have the tuner in your loop before the QTron? Most people seem to put it first or last, so I'm wondering if there's some secret advantage to having it where you do.

Also, cool handle. Very on-the-nose, if you will.

No particular reason, I put it in the loop because of the tonesuck and put it as first one.

Sorry if this picture is too small, I can't figure out why that is. I borrowed the camera and I don't know or care jack snoop about photos or cameras.

Signal chain: bass-->Ashdown Drive Plus --> DOD FX30B Gate/Loop Send --> Ashdown Sub Octave --> Devi Ever AR SM-->Ashdown Env Filter-->Boss PS3-->DOD FX30B Gate/Loop Return-->Hartke HA3500 -->FX Send -->Digitech RDS 3.6-->FX Return-->Peavey 1820.

The RDS 3.6 replaced my PDS 20/20 because it does the same stuff, but more. It's got more delay time, a greater modulation width, and lots more control. I built a double footswitch into an empty Penguin Mint tin, and I use that plus a Behringer FCV100 to control the RDS. One switch for bypass, one switch for inf repeat, and the CV for delay time.

My 4ms Trem Lune is temporarily off the board because I took the circuit out of the box to paint it, which I still haven't done, but I'm holding out hope for this week. It will go right above the handle on the board and between the AR SM and the Env Filter in the chain, though.

That leaves me with some space to the right of that. The only sound that I feel like I'm really missing is Reverse Delay/Volume Swell. I could put the Penguin Mint switcher on there and still have room for a Lazy Sprocket, or I could probably fit a Pigtronix Attack/Decay. I think the Attack/Decay is more expensive than that sound is worth to me, so I'll porbably go Lazy Sprocket.

I'm looking to replace the Ashdown Env Filter; not because of the sound, but because I would like to have more filter options, like auto-wah, stuck wah, s/h, etc. I've got my eye on a Catalinbread Hedonic Treadmill, but they probably won't be released until next spring.

I may replace the Ashdown Sub Octave with an Octron, because it tracks poorly, but I like the tone a lot. It's super nasty.

Zvex Woolly Mammoth, EHX Nano Bassballs, EHX LBM, EHX Clone Theory, EHX Metal Muff, DHA VT-1 standard Bass, Morley DBW, MXR bass DI M-80.

Im guessing the chain will be;
VT-1 -> WM -> BB -> MM -> LBM -> CT -> DBW -> M-80. not too sure though

And i've picked up some material to make my own pedalboard at last!
All i need now, is to downsize the MM, add the #1 echo and add some George l's!

Very cool board man, I am ocd about neatness and yours looks immaculate, espcially for having the cables still on the board, mine are going to be routed underneath. Congrats! We need to have some type of pedalboard competition, categories like Neatest/Messiest, Biggest/Smallest, Most Expensive/Cheapest, Most Bizarre/Common, Most Advanced/Simple, Most Colorful/Matching

Great idea! We could start with a thread where you post you contrubution, and when a certain amount, say 10-20 has been added, we start a poll with a link to each picture!

Wow... that really is a clean board! It's one of the cleanest I've ever seen without using a rail system (a la Pedaltrain)! It's simple, but effective - all the essentials, with room for experimentation. I like it!

neatest: the guy I just quoted or mysticboo, I think there were others that were good, but I can't remember
messiest: There was one persons that was absolutely horrible that posted theirs in this thread, I don't remember who it was though. it might have been the guy with the triforce on his board, but it might not have been... I do remember he had a homemade looper inside of a lightswitch box/electrical box
biggest: crabs or jetpack
smallest: ... those who have none? I thought I saw toasted with a case for one pedal once.

Very nice and neat board. I think just taking a little time to make things neat is worth it for simplicity and ease of troubleshooting on stage.

I love it! Super versatile. I think people who read this forum a lot might be downright sick of reading my praises of it, so here's a link to the distortion megathread:

Sadly, they are not sold anymore new. I am starting to wish I bought a backup; not because I'm worried it will break, just because they were selling for like $50 towards the end there, and if I end up losing mine I'll kick myself for not having gotten an extra at that price.

i'm still thinking of what i want to fill that void with.

a week ago that space had a line 6 dm-4 distortion and a digitech bass synth wah but I didn't really use them much. and vlecro of any brand doesn't seem to want to stick to the BSW and it was too much of a bother to keep reattaching velcro

one thing i know i'm going to do is put the little big muff into the loop of a boss ls2. i want to do this for 2 reasons: firstly i want to blend the fuzz with a clean signal, and secondly i'm getting that annoying "pop" sound when i turn the LBM on and with it in the loop i could leave the LBM on all the time and just bypass it with the ls2 when not in use. the popping wouldn't be much of a problem but in some songs where i need to turn the LBM on while i have a delay on and it repeats the pops as well as the notes i play.

I'll still have room for another pedal the size of a line 6 modeling pedal so i'm thinking about either getting a FM4 or a bass micro synth if it'll fit.
