Potential Singer Caught in a Lie

My guess is, you would have heard that same rant at sometime regardless of the reason, had you hired him.

As soon as something happened he did not like, out it would come. Sadly, people like that tend to make that a part of their identity.

At a gig for instance, no one's dancing or he gets heckled, insert same rant. He really did you guys a favor with that story and his response. It would only have been a matter of time.

After reading his email, I don't think the lying was going to be the biggest problem with him. Can you imagine having to deal with that **** in your band?

+1. OP, wise choice to run for the hills. For three years at my job I worked with a much older individual who tried pulling the race card on me (and I wound up in HR several times because of him). He was continuously passive-aggressive towards me, and eventually hung himself with his own rope (figuratively speaking). He exhibited the same "everyone's out to get me" paranoia. You've definitely averted the potential for many problems, friend.

It's more than irritating, it's threatening the credibility of people who really ARE enduring prejudice. Considering rock's history of defying the colour barrier, it's even worse.

Trust me, I live it everyday, in one form or another. I don't look for it and I try not to let it bother me, but I do see it.

BTW, the guy here in Indy says he was in Cameo in 1975 for about 6 months and he was also in The Gap Band in the 80's. No videos. Only pics are with his mom in Oklahoma, in storage...:eyebrow:

Some people subconsciously like to live in a world filled with drama. And those are the same people that always talk about how they don't want any more drame in their life.

I used to play in a band with a pathological liar. I really believe the guy didn't know the boundary between reality and make believe. People like this really do exist.

This.
