FYI - the Peavey manual for the XR600B states that the input impedance is 220K ohms - high Z unbalanced for the 1/4" channel inputs. This is the same input impedance as the "High Gain" inputs on the old Peavey bass amps. So, all of the arguments are moot - it should work just fine with a passive bass (and, it DOES !!)

Mine worked just fine with passive 80s S101 and active BTB675. Into the 1/4 jack.
