Power amp for Darkglass b7k ultra

Hello!
I´m interested in buying a Darkglass b7k ultra. At the moment I´m using a EBS reidmar 750 with cab.

I´m not sure how to use the Darkgalss.
After some reading I think that i will also need a "power amp" if I´m going to sell my EBS amp.

Does anyone have any recommendations for the Darkglass?
Is this the right way to go?

That's not a "power amp" pedal, it's another Pre Amp Pedal. The same as the Darkglass. So you'd be running a pre amp pedal into a pre amp pedal.

If you don't want to use the EBS then you need a Power Amp, like a Matrix.

Or you can just run the Darkglass into the FX Loop of the EBS or run it into the Input of the EBS and set the EQ flat.

EHX made (makes?) a power amp pedal, but it's not going to do much for bass in terms of headroom and volume. It's only 44 watts.

You can use the B7KU with any power amp, but you don't "need" a power amp like you mentioned in the first post.
It's a preamp/DI pedal.
You can connect it to the input of any amp
You can connect it to the FX return of any amp
You can connect it to any power amp
You can send the DI line straight to a mixing or recording console

I'm a big advocate of getting more gear, but it doesn't seem like you really know what you're going to be doing with the B7KU.
Why do you want one?
What are you looking to accomplish with all of this? We might be able to give you much better info from knowing that...

The market for bass guitar specific poweramps is very small.
Every amp head basically is a preamp with a built in poweamp unit.
If there is an FX loop in that amp, you can bypass the amps pre by using the FX return.
Your signal will go from the B7k straight into the poweramp and the master vol on your amp head will be the only knob doing something.
If you're looking for a cheap dedicated poweramp, look for PA stuff. But most of these units will be 2HE 19" rack units,
the class D ones will be less deep, but 19" is usually the way to go in poweramps, so there is not much to gain.

Most class D bass amps that have the rough size of a car stereo run on the same B&O class D powerunits, so you could go with a small used class D head that features an FX loop instead.

I run mine with a sans amp RBI. I did try the b7k ultra into my crown power amp when i first got it. If I remember correctly the xlr level is also controlled by the level knob. In order to get the b7k to have enough output to drive my power amp I had to pretty much run it wide open and at that point the xlr level was unusable. My understanding is some power amps are more flexible with the signal levels though. Going with the darkglass 900 is a good option if your talking an entire new rig. I ran my b7k ultra into my sans amp RBI in series for a while. Then messed around in the studio and found I liked it run parallel with the RBI. In the studio I used the dry out of the RBI to feed the b7k and had the xlr on each to their own channels. Did some research after that here on talkbass and found i could use the dry out of the RBI into the b7k and then the output of the b7k to the effects return of the RBI with the effects loop set to 50/50. Which gives me half b7k and half rbi. And allows me to use the wet xlr out on the RBI to Foh. The annoying pet is I now have three ten foot cables between my pedalboard(which I do keep back by my amp) and my rig. so I'll probably end up splitting the signal on the board to eliminate one of the cables between the RBI and the b7k

Do you need an amp on stage or are you running direct all the time with good monitoring?

If you DON'T need an amp and have a way to hear yourself, the B7KU is all you'd need.
