Power Amp for Rusty Box

Hey Guys
I am looking for a solid sounding poweramp to go with my Rusty box pre amp.

It should not break the bank nor the back....

It will run either a Mesa 2x15 Diesel (which as much weight as I can deal with) or 2 x trace Elliott 1153 15" cabs

Should deff be under 20 kilos and rather half of that if possible

Above all it should sound solid

There are many good and great options out there, but my choice is the GK MB500 or MB800. Yes those are heads! But when you plug your pedal into the effects loop return jack, it bypasses the preamp section of the head, and voila you have a 1RU super lightweight power amp. It sounds great, and the input sensitivity of that loop return is ideal for being driven by most external preamps.

thanks thats an interesting suggestion... deff. very practical....
still I wouldnt mind something lightweight in the same scale as my big cabs, just would be a bit weird lookin on top of a big 2x15 , although I guess I could put it somewhere out of sight....

I am looking for something in the sub 250 euro range... new or second hand

Good thing about this setup is that you can always use normal input, either as a backup or for some gigs that don't require your preamp. Also, they can be found used in your budget (at least MB500 can) and have ok resale value.
