Power amp/preamp pairing

Can anyone recommend a nice, clean, affordable power amp to pair with a tube preamp? I generally play mid-size gigs with a very loud drummer (I need enough power to cut through).

Also, I know there are a number of tube preamps out there. Can anyone recommend one that will satisfy a player that like deep, warm, bottom for moody music like Pink Floyd, etc?

There are a lot of "nice, clean, affordable" power amps out there.
The newer lightweught SMPS/Class D amps from Crown, Carvin, Peavey, etc. are very affordable.
As a result, used heavier amps are also becoming even more affordable.
