pp2+ in back of mini

i just got a pedal train mini and I have a pp2+ I want to use with it. Id rather not cut the board to put it underneath. I was wondering if its ok to put it in the shelf/spacer thing on the back of the board. I got it to fit with the wall plugs facing up. its a tight fit. I just never see people do this on the minis so i was wondering if its safe to do. Also will the sag knobs break being pushed against the bottom shelf or are they pretty tough? That's my main worry. Thanks
