Practice amp - Phil Jones Micro 7 vs alternatives

Hey there, I want to buy a practice amp which would mostly be used for practicing in my apartment, and only occasionally to play in a duet with an acoustic guitar or digital piano.

My main criteria are best possible tone (for a practice amp) and sound quality (can't stand hiss or anything like that). Doesn't have to be super-portable. I play mostly lighter stuff (no need for distortion) and I don't need any special features.

I can buy a used Phil Jones Micro 7 for an 215 EUR (probably can negotiate down), but I can't test it as the seller is quite far. I've been also looking at alternatives in this price range or below:
- Ampeg BA110
- Warwick BC20/BC40
- Blackstar Debut Bass 25
- Orange Crush Bass 25

Any suggestions as to which would be better than another will be appreciated. Or maybe you have yet another recommendation?

I’ve owned a PJB S-77 (double the watts and speakers of M-7) and a Warwick BC80 (a larger model with 4-band eq), albeit not at the same time.

I’ve liked the bc80 better, provided size isn’t a concern. it was more round, dynamic and had a more useful eq. the s-77 was a bit harsher, a lot more hifiish and had crazy deep lows and crazy high highs.

not sure how a bc40 compares, but a used 80 shouldn’t be expensive in eu as well.

I haven't played the Phil Jones but I own an Ampeg BA110V2 and really like it's tone. Very warm amp if that's what you like.
