Practice amps

Hello - just a bit of a brainstorming session really. I have a space on a shelf (maximum height 33/34cm) to put a small practice amp. i normally rehearse at home with headphones on but would like a small amp ready to go so I have tis space for it. options i have seen are laney LX10/LX15, blackstar fly 3+103 cab, vox pathfinder 10. I'm inclined to go Vox. Is there anything else I should be looking at that would fit? I have also seen some pretty poor reviews of practice amps. Any general thoughts appreciated.

I use an Ashdown TourBus 15. Simple controls, clean tone, relatively inexpensive compared to some of the others mentioned in this thread, more along the OP's budget. Made in England so the OP should be able to find good slightly used units. It has a small jack MP3 in and headphones out jack as needed.

Like the Joyo BA-30 maybe?
I have the Joyo 10W mini and it is absolutely horrible! It's fine for my workbench but I would never use it for practice. Never tried that BA-30, but overall it looks and sound much better then the Mini. Those videos can be very deceiving since the mic is directly in front of the speaker and the amps are probably not turned up very loud.

It does look excellent but I was hoping for something a touch more budget friendly - less than £100 really

And that's why you always need to list a budget!

This new Joyo fits your budget.

BassTheWorld did a (paid) overview. Seems good for the price, but you don't get amazing sound.

That Joyo micro cube amp looks pretty cool. It has Bluetooth and looks like it can be a audio interface via USB.

30 watts!
A bit late but OP hasn't come up with a conclusion.

I received my Joyo BA-30 yesterday. My verdict: very nice little amp if you don't want to play loud, like in the living room. I have mine on a table next to my couch AND close to the rear wall, this makes a difference since there's a passive radiator on the back of the amp.

I had a Boss Micro Cube long time ago at the same spot on that table and I really like the concept of having my electric guitar always plugged in and having to only push the power button to start playing. So I'm doing the same thing now but with my bass, always connected and ready to play in 2 seconds. Having the Joyo on your shelf with a Joyo JW-02S/03wireless and using BA-30 built-in bluetooth for backing track could be a cool setup.

The OTG usb connection is working very well BTW, I'm using it mainly for a tuner app on my iPhone but also tested with Garageband for recording (input 1) and also with amp/cab plugins (input 2) without any noticeable latency.

Overall very satisfied.
