Hi all
I am spending a bit more time of my practice routine on scales. I have limited practice time, so I've been spending part of this time running through all major scales (circle of 5ths) one day as a straight scale, one in thirds, one day in fourths and so on. My primary objective is to improve my ability to hear/play in tune, so the scales are supplementing other exercises (etudes, vomit etc.).
My question is: is there more value in staying in the same key for a few days / or 1 week even - or running through the cycle, daily, is just as effective?
Regards to all
