Pre-amps

Yeah, much more info is needed, primarily your budget and what all you intend to do with it. Also note that there have been a great many threads on this subject before, including recently, so you'll want to read some existing threads here.
 
OK, sorry to leave so much to the imagination. I'm running a Peavey Grind 5 with active Basslines thru a PJB Suitcase and the DI on that is fine for gigs. My rack has a Korg DT-1000 and a BBE BMaxT. I'm thinking maybe something for the rack to plug directly to the board for rehearsal/recording, and leave the amp at home. My guitarist/soundguy is fanatical about having zero noise from our gear, and the PJB Briefcase DI and BBE BMax-T inject a little bit of a hiss.
