Pre-CBS re-fret or not?

and the OP hasn't been seen since Feb 2017Dear “ brain” the topic is a good one. Do you think it got fully flushed? Alive as of 10:05 today.
If it plays like a dream why are we discussing this? 
It won’t play that way after the fret job. It will be different.
I have a G&L L1000 whose body has been restored. New bridge, chromed control plate that was that “black vinyl.” Stained and nitro clear coated, the body is now just beautiful. I wouldn’t let my luthier touch that maple neck. It has those Derek and the Dominos wear spots and the frets are nearly flat. Though some don’t like this phrase, it plays like buttah.

The answer is, if it plays fine, no?
If they are worn badly and it affects your playing, yes.
The real question is, do you go back with those tiny little vintage frets (thankfull my 60' still has nice frets), or go back with a medium jumbo?
