PRE EBMM STINGRAY DATES

Just bought a pre EBMM stingray with serial number "B 021616". I know that after Fender's bad relation with musicman the production moved to Jackson Charvel factory.

Is there any way I can find out the exact year or factory (fender or jackson) it was produced?

Dates on woods show the production year or not?

As far as the the DOB of your pre EBMM Stingray check this site out.Yours dates to 1980 By serial # you posted. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

As far as what Factory it was made at go to ernie ball forum [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] and join it if you are not already a member and post the question to owner of site i posted with serial dates.He goes by Rod Trussbroken on the ernie ball forum he knows his stuff about pre EBMM basses.You could also try his email from his site [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] just click Home and look for his email contact at bottom of page.
