Double Bass preamp question

I just recently picked up a Palatino electric upright and am having a blast with it (have been playing BG for 20 years, never ventured into DB of any kind before).

Anyway, I am currently using an Ultrasound PDI as my preamp. From the search function, I don't think many here have tried using these.

If anyone does have some experience, is there an appreciable difference between this and either the SansAmp Para Driver or the Fishman ProEq Platinum bass (these are the two possibilities I have been considering)?

Thanks for any help.

If the Ultrasound has a high input impedance, like 1 Meg or higher, then you might as well stick with it. Upright bass preamps tend to be fairly flat and uncolored, so if one works, another one is unlikely to work a huge amount better.
