Preamp

I want to keep the vintage sound of my jazz. Clean, no colored sound.
Also,I need a A/B switch inside the preamp to plug an active and passive bass.
These bass haven't the same output. So, in live configuration, I dont want to setup my gain level and EQ each time.
I'm using an Aguilar DB751 power amp.

Recording quality mic pres and D/I's

DAV Electronics BG-1 U 1 channel Decca Records Mic Preamp, 1 channel D/I .
TAB Funkenwerk V-71 D/I
DAV Electronics Control Room Guitar interface.
1 Tube Pre, 1 FET with TMB tone controls.

Clean and uncoloured sound... what is wrong with the SWR or the Glockenklang? I think a mixer and the Tech21 are unusable as a recommendation. There are almost no good input pre's in small mixers and uncoloured with Tech21 in one sentence...

SWR would never be my definition of uncolored. The Glock may be. I also didnt recommend the Tech21. not my cup of tea at all.

In a live performance setting, a decent small mixer will do fine. You don't need 110 dB S/N (signal-to-noise ratio) onstage when the S/N of the rest of the system is 60-70 dB and the S/N directly from the bass is around 45 dB. :D Distortion and response are similarly degraded from studio settings.

We are talking about a 62 J-Bass! Don´t do this with such a fine instrument. That would be like putting the cheapest tires on a Porsche.
