I tend to clean my bass, drink some milk, and eat some raviolis. Also I can't go on unless I'm wearing a wristband.

Pregig rituals?

I stretch my left shoulder almost every time. It loosens me up just right usually. I am right handed so my bass rests on my left shoulder every night.
Aw man, I have to everytime, if I don't, I can't play right and my tone is always completely wrong. Often times my other band members would make sure I did before hand just for the sake of the show!!!

My ritual is check out the stage. Make sure all outlets are wired properly. Carry all that stuff in and set it where it goes. Get in the power cable box and run power everywhere we need it. Get in the speaker cable box and run speaker wires. Get in the signal cable box and cable up the rest of the PA. Then I set up my rig plug in and tune up. Then sound check (sometimes I for go this but I do make sure there is a signal coming into each channel). Then I'm bored until show time.
I have a ritual after the show too. Its exactly the same only different.

After everything is hauled in and set up, I set my earplugs within easy reach, ‘cause within the first few songs I put them in. I give our sound guy a signal, he says “Okay, don’t touch it”, I say “Yeah, right”, then go have a smoke before we go on.
I don’t have any ritual like stretching or anything, but I probably should.

Show up, hang out, have some beers, check out the other bands, network, check out which bands brought the hottest girls and try to get a gig with them again, and finally I warm up....

You, too??? Of course, I follow that with vomiting, paranoia, jitters, and often, death. It's worth it for the good of the show, though!
We usually just light five black candles at the points of the pentagram we draw on the ground with the salt from the salt shakers we steal from the bar, do a little chanting, kill a chicken (Virgins are so hard to come by these days)......

This is my biggest fear. I don't eat much the day of show because with my luck, I'll have have to run off stage and spend rest the set in the can...........Hmmmmm maybe I should buy a wireless?
finger stretches’, shoulder stretches and put on my stupidly huge fake pink diamond pinkie ring (Right hand), I can skip the stretches, but no ring=horrible gig. It started as a joke about three years ago but It’s got to the point where even the lead player checks I've got it on before we go on.
Lol..some of these are funny. I usually get the gear unloaded, pa setup, keyboard setup then before I get out my bass I have to go wash my hands. For some reason I hate to take it out of the case if my hands aren't clean......
I wash my hands twice before I touch my bass. Once on the way into the Bathroom, go 1 or 2 and then again after.
I guess mine would be setup the PA, wire the PA, tune the PA, Soundcheck the band, yell at the other lazy members to wire the lights, get dinner, shower if at all possible, get dressed, pre gig drink, position my blower fan in prime location onstage, rock some faces off.
I try to warm up my fingers on the bass is as close as I get to stretching...
