Prestige Wylde Thing Owners Club!

I searched and couldn't find a club for those of us who play these basses, now sadly out of production by Prestige of Canada.

So if you own one (or three), post up!! I'll issue membership numbers once a week and answer any questions that I can.

I own several Wylde Things (actually I think they were referred to as just Wylde Bass late in the game). I play them professionally quite often and they are for sure on my travel list when I tour with any bands needing my services.

Presently I own two 4's (EADG & BEAD) and a 5 (BEADG). I think I may buy a few for to mod now, just for giggles and grins!

Hi B-Mac,

The Wylde bass was discontinued in 2011.
Looks like yours was made in 2009.

It was a 7 ply maple/wenge neck through body construction, with maple wings.
Active Prestige brand pickups, Grover tuners, and a unique Prestige bridge.

Electronics are active with a push/pull volume dial.
There is a Blend dial that blends the signal between the 2 pickups.
The 3-band EQ is only in use in Active mode, and controls Treble, mids, and Highs.
