As others have said, it's a special run of a high-end instrument. The price is pretty much in line with what others in the run sell for. The electronics are tetsuya's custom line, not found in the regular Bardics.

And $4k for an ESP Japan instrument is no joke. They are fantastic basses. That's why I look for used.

IMO real ESP basses are a players dream. ESP custom shop Japan = top notch product. Easily on par with most higher end production basses imo.

Lakland trusts them to make their basses for the Asian market so I'd have to say I agree... They have high standards!
