It would be OK for Australia or Europe/UK.
Too high for US and Canada.

it depends. i picked up my '78 4001 around a year ago for $1400, and it is in very good condition(only a bit of buckle rash and a few tiny dings). it just depends on what type of seller it is. not everyone is looking to milk a maximum profit out of them.

I sold this one last year - in a day. I might have underpriced it on account of the truss rod nut. Either way, it was great that the buyer was a U.S. Army veteran of Iraqi Freedom, and I don't regret pricing it as I did. Hope it helps...
