Would you rock this on stage?? I would. I kinda like it - especially if Apollonia gave it to me!

I'd leave the gold hardware but replace the bridge with a Hipshot.Hell yes.
I'd change out the gold for black hardware and remove the switch. Then play it all the time.

Hell yeah, that's JUST weird enough to be unique, but not so weird (consider for instance the BC Rich Bich is a PRODUCTION instrument) to jump out at most of the audience.Would you rock this on stage?? I would. I kinda like it - especially if Apollonia gave it to me!

Seeing as how you actually saw the original, what was the difference, specs wise?Of course I would!
I got my mitts on the real deal back when it was on display at the NPG store in Minneapolis (anyone remember that?). I asked if was it cool to play it and was told "sure" - so I did - followed shortly by "I was kidding!". The action was about an inch off the fretboard at that time.

It would be a great conversation starter for all the musicians and fans who recognized it too (my biggest weakness as a performer is the after-gig schmooze).
Probably wouldn't be my #1 though - neck looks wide.
As for all the people suggesting mods - you're kidding right? You're going to take a semi-iconic custom instrument and mess with it? You do that with an off the shelf production bass, not a famous one-off. If it actually NEEDs anything (other than direct replacement pickups) for you to be happy, move it along to someone who'd play it as is.
