Problem with daisychain

I am fairly new to the effects side of things. My pedal order from my amp is DigiTech JamMan Express > EHX Freeze > Holy Grail > Bass Big Muff. As I was playing today my JamMan started lagging very badly, then I tried the Holy Grail which didn't even produce reverb. I had to cut off all power, wait a few minutes, and then reconnect and everything started working again. I'm sure it was just a little glitch, but at the same time I'd hate to have this be a recurring problem. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. I tried running a few searches on the site, but couldn't find the proper thread.

I have a 9v power supply connected to a surge protector. That one power supply is connected to the JamMan, which then daisychains to the rest of the pedals. Could that be it?

Yes. You need an isolated power supply like the Voodoo Labs.

Don't daisychain from a pedal, just plug the daisychain cables into each pedal. The current draw may be more than that first pedal can provide. Also, look up the power requirements for each pedal and check if the sum is greater than what your power supply is rated for. You may need a more powerful one. IMO, if you don't have any specific voltage needs, I would then get a 1Spot or Godlyke adapter rather than something expensive like a Voodoo Labs supply.

What power supply do you use? I see a Digitech Jamman 9V AC adapter for example what the heck is that! I don't see any centre negative or positive specifications, or if I do see some it shows centre positive. Doesn't look like you can daisy chain or power your 9V DC centre negative EHX pedals with that particular adapter.

Check polarities for your pedals and specs for that adapter.

That sounds pretty good to me. I guess it never really felt obvious to me that a 9v power supply couldn't handle 4 pedals, but it does now, haha. Thanks for the recs, I'll pick one up today or tomorrow!
