Problem with my Lakland toggle switch :(

I hadn't played my Lakland 55-94 for a while, so this morning I fired up my amp and grabbed the Lakland. Everything seems fine, and then I start playing with the toggle switch. The toggle is only for the rear humbucker, so when the blender is panned to the neck the toggle has no effect at all. But when the blender is centered or all the way back, the toggle switch should work (i.e make the bass sound different) But now it does nothing in the middle and rear position (same sound) and when switched to the front position, it mutes the bass
Anyone have this issue before? I thought maybe the battery is dead, but that wasn't it. I have the new Lakland electronics, not the Barts.

As the switch selects what coil(s) to be used (right?), it shouldn't depend on the battery. Since the two rear positions are the same, and the front one is mute, a good bet is that the front coil is unconnected. It should be a simple matter between you, the bass, some tin and a soldering iron sorting that out.

I had the EXACT same problem with my old 55-02. Lakland made it right. They even offered to send me a new switch (after we diagnosed on the phone that was the problem) if I preferred so I could make the change myself.

An electrical problem in a Lakland instrument is always a temporary condition.
