Problem with tuner knob on the Steinberger DB Bridge

I have a Hohner B Bass with a dtuner Steinberger type bridge. Unfortunately the fine tuning knob on the E string is loose as it can be pulled out or may fall out on its own so you can't really use it as intended. I don't know if the screw hole is stripped or possibly missing a part that holds the screw in place. The bridge works fine otherwise and engaging the d tuner switch detunes the string but to a C and no way to adjust it due to the knob being essentially useless. Other than living with it and not use the detuner, is there a way to fix it?

Detune. Take the screw/knob out. Take some photos and post them here. Someone will help you.

I actually have the exact same issue with my Spirit XZ2-DB: I tune the string to E using the tuner on the end, and then I flip the lever and turn the fine-tuner on top to tune it to D. It seems to work at first, but then it won't properly retune back to E and the fine-tuner is so incredibly loose by that point that if I try to detune it again, the knob will just unscrew and pop out.

It's basically had this issue since I bought it about a decade ago, and I've just never bothered to look into fixing it. I'll see what I can do about getting some photos and hopefully someone knows the solution!
