Ok, not quite sure how to explain this. Basically when I play anything with an active pickup, theres a whole bunch of extra noise, i.e. clicking scratching, and the amp is usually having a hard time dealing with the active pickups. I pad the input, I adjust the eq, compress, etc. still have problems. I have this problem with almost every amp Ive used. Yeah Im in a loud band and yeah I play sloppy with a pick. I have none of these problems with passive pickups. Other than adjusting the output on the bass, are there any suggestions as to what I can do?
