Problems with Eden?

There should be a local repair shop that's authorized. I'd do that rather than sending them back. An Authorized shop should be able to do warranty repairs. That should help with the turnaround time. Here in Nashville the two shops are Nashville Amp Repair for electronics and Jams Audio for speaker issues. They're great shops!

I wouldn't worry about it. Every manufacturer produces some amps that release the smoke, and cabs that blow speakers, especially when the users are fundamentally clueless. You read about the few here, but you don't read about the thousands that have provided great service for years. I just sold my D-410XLT after owning it and gigging it for 15 years with no issues.

I just ordered a 410XLT that I found at GC. I know what you'll say about that place, but it was really my only option, since I can finance it there. Anyway, that's not the point. I did a lot of research on them, and played one that I found on Craigslist, but must have been blinded by love. My after-purchase-waiting-for-cab-to-arrive-research has shown me that lots of people have problems with their Eden gear. Anyone blow speakers for no reason or have magic white smoke come from your gear? Anything you can do to avoid this?

It seems ridiculous that a higher end company can have such problems. Many of the cab issues I read about were involved in chaining cabs together. Maybe that's related, maybe it's not. I doubt that GC will sell a cab that has these problems, so I think I'm probably ok for the short run anyway...

The cabinet you ordered raised the bar (along with SWR) for bass cabs across the board. Fret not my friend !

Thanks man, I feel better now reading these replies. I can't wait to play on this thing! I just got an Epifani PS600 for dirt cheap on consignment, and am dying to hear this combination.

I have a D410XLT, and used to own a D115XL and a D210XLT. I have always considered them bullet proof speakers and have never had any problems. The only one I ever even sweated pushing too hard was the 210, but I never had any issues.

I only sold the 210 to get the 410, and I only sold the 115 because I was broke, loved all of them. I've heard about Edens customer service issues, but to my knowlege the speakers were extremely reliable. Mine were all older models from around 95-00 if that makes any difference, I know the company has changed hands since.
