i recently installed a IC Socket in my mid 2000s ProCo Rat so that i could switch the IC out and try a few different ones. Mainly the LM308. After the socket was installed none of the replacement ICs worked. It muted the sound when the circuit was active. i still get a bypass signal. when the original chip is in it, it works fine.
